Blood donor honors – Bavaria-wide
You can never say “thank you” enough. Thank you to all the people throughout Bavaria who regularly donate blood and thus make a huge contribution to the survival of others. The honor ceremonies are an expression of appreciation for the tireless efforts of donors, whose commitment keeps the blood supply in Bavaria running smoothly.
REALIZE has been organizing this roadshow event for the BSD since 2014.
Every year, blood donors are honored live in seven Bavarian cities. In 2025, there were a total of about 3,200 participants in Ansbach, Bamberg, Deggendorf, Fürstenfeldbruck, Weiden, Augsburg, and Würzburg. Among them were even 31 donors who had already donated for the 200 or more times.

For the participants, the awards ceremony is an evening of celebration in every sense of the word. It is a place where they can meet, exchange ideas, enjoy good conversation, and experience a special, personal moment of gratitude as the awards are presented individually on stage by the BSD managing director and the president of the BRK.
Well-known and beloved faces from the BSD family will host the evening. Michael Sporer, the presenter known from Bavarian television, has been a die-hard awards professional since 2014. Dominik Klein, handball world champion, is an active blood donor and enriches the evenings as a blood donation ambassador. Since 2020, the Bavarian Handball Association has been actively mobilizing handball players under the motto #HandballkannBlutspende (Handball can donate blood).
Like Gela Allmann, the extreme endurance athlete who inspires with her emotional story of fighting her way back to life and motivates with her determination and boundless energy, which helped her return to her old life and continues to do so today. Last but not least, comedian and BSD pro Chris Boettcher provides the ever-popular fun and good-humor moment with a program tailored to the lifesavers each year.
REALIZE searches for all locations and transforms them into the appropriate setting, organizes convenient arrival and departure for guests, and takes care of logistics, technology, branding, catering, and decoration.
